Jeshua Lauka practices law in the three major areas of the firm: business, real estate, and estate and trust. Jeshua has developed a focus in representing start-up businesses and entrepreneurs in West Michigan and beyond in all aspects of business and corporate governance. In 2018 Jeshua was named to the Grand Rapids Business Journal's 2018 40 under 40 Business Leaders.

Jeshua has served on various non-profit boards including as Board President at Mel Trotter Ministries, Volunteers in Service, and as Co-Chair of Leadership Goodwill, through Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids. Jeshua also served as a mentor through Kids Hope USA and CBMC, Inc. and has served in leadership roles at his local church. Jeshua was a 2009 Participant in the Hon. Douglas Hillman Trial Advocacy Clinic and received a Certificate of Completion of the ICLE Litigation Skills Boot Camp in May 2010. Jeshua was selected by Super Lawyers as a Michigan Rising Star for the years 2013-2021. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Jeshua also serves on the Business Law Advisory Board for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Jeshua joined David, Wierenga & Lauka in 2012 has been a partner since 2019. Jeshua was previously a partner at a business law firm in Kalamazoo, MI. He also served as a law clerk with the Michigan Senate Majority Policy Office and with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office. He earned his J.D. from Regent University in Virginia where he graduated in the top 30% of his class. While attending Regent, Jeshua was a recipient of the Academic Merit Award and Dean’s Scholarship. He graduated cum laude from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Humanities, Pre-Law.
