Jim Wierenga is an experienced commercial litigator who provides clients with aggressive representation, creative and cost-effective strategies for resolving disputes and the personal attention not always found in larger firms. Though his specialty is business and real estate litigation, he also provides general counsel in those areas and in estate planning. After graduating (cum laude) in 1987 with a bachelors degree from Taylor University, Jim received an M.A. degree (magna cum laude) from Regent University in 1990. He then went on to earn his J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Michigan in 1993. Jim joined a large Grand Rapids law firm in 1993, and left to join Ron David in 1997. He became a partner in 2000. Jim also is committed to offering pro bono services as an allied attorney for Alliance Defense Fund for matters involving religious liberty and the First Amendment.
