Jim Wierenga is an experienced lawyer with extensive experience in the areas of business law, real estate law and estate planning. Additionally, a significant part of his practice is dedicated to litigation arising out these areas. Jim regularly appears in state and federal court across the State providing clients with aggressive representation, creative and cost-effective strategies for resolving disputes and the personal attention not always found in larger firms. Jim has received the honor of being named a Michigan Super Lawyer on multiple occasions.

Jim is committed to offering pro bono services as an allied attorney for Alliance Defending Freedom in matters involving religious liberty and the First Amendment.

Jim is also a local politician. He currently serves as the Supervisor for Georgetown Township, a township of over 50,000 residents.

Even more than the law, and politics, Jim loves to spend time with his family. He has been married to his wife Sheila since 1988, and together they are raising their 8 children. They love to travel having camped in 49 of the 50 states. Jim loves coaching his kids’ sports and volunteering at their schools.
